Administration Denounces 'Democrat Hoax' as Additional Jeffrey Epstein Photos Disclosed
House Democrats have made public a new tranche of what they described as "alarming" images from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 images—some of which have been previously circulated—along with another 70 issued later on Friday account for a small number of the almost 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is examining the actions and ties of Epstein.
The disgraced financier was a victim of apparent suicide in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking crimes.
Notable Figures in the Photos
Included in the prominent personalities visible in the first release are well-known figures such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
White House Response
The White House responded to the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of selectively "choosing" the pictures for electoral motives and to "seek to establish a false storyline."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a presidential representative remarked, asserting that "the Trump administration has done more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats ever have by frequently urging openness, making public thousands of pages of records, and demanding further investigations into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Democratic Lawmaker Remarks
The photos were disclosed without context, but per a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the investigative panel, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's links with affluent people.
"Now is the occasion to halt this White House concealment and deliver justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he said in a comment.
The disclosure of these materials coincides with the oversight committee pressing on with its inquiry into the Epstein case.
