The UK is prepared to move forward with employing the full worth of immobilized Russia's funds to aid the Ukrainian military campaign, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

In a shared declaration, the officials of the UK, the French Republic, and Germany stated that this coordinated action would escalate tension on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and compel Russia to engage in negotiations.

They clarified that the initiative would be carried out in strong partnership with the America.

British sanctions have immobilized more than £25bn of Russian assets since the Russian government began its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. But, previously, resources sent to the Ukrainian government using Russian assets had only been taken from profits and interest accrued on them.

Sir Keir assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, France, and Germany were in agreement in their aim to advance efforts toward using the complete amount of the seized Moscow's national assets to halt hostilities.

He noted that further measures soon would heighten the tension on Russia.

This statement follows EU leaders met in the Danish capital previously to consider employing seized Russia's assets for a €140bn credit to the Ukrainian nation.

Recently, US President Donald Trump urged Group of Seven partners to take or utilize frozen Russia's holdings, as reported by media sources.

The worth of seized Russia's holdings in the European Union is assessed to be almost €211bn.

Russia carried out extensive missile and drone strikes across the Ukrainian territory on recently, resulting in blackouts in large parts of Kyiv, the city, and eight other regions.
